Elisabeth Parry working with Flutes in France participants

No-one is ever “just an amateur” to me.

I believe every adult flutist can work towards the highest standards. I understand the motivation, skills and life experience that you bring to your musical journey.

Before the course starts, we meet online to get to know each other and to talk about your aspirations and your concerns. You’ll also meet your fellow participants, and I tailor our course to meet your individual needs.

And when Flutes in France is over, you won’t just be leaving with better technique and new musical ideas — you’ll take lifelong flute friends with you.

John and I look forward to welcoming you into our French home and musical life as our guests, our friends, and as fellow musicians. We’re all on that journey together.

What participants say

Adult flutists from around the world return year after year. Here are a few of their thoughts.

Every year I wonder if the next course can possibly be as inspiring as the last. Every year it exceeds my expectations. The teaching, the friendships, the music-making and the beautiful surroundings combine to create an unforgettable experience.

Marvellous music, fabulous friends, fantastic food, all in a wonderful setting with two of the most outstanding musicians and warmest people I have had the privilege to meet. A truly transformational experience that will continue to inspire me and stay with me for ever.

More than just a flute course

A week of flute, friendship and French living.

WORKING TOGETHER

Play and Learn

Every day combines individual lessons, chamber music, ensemble playing, technique workshops and accompaniment coaching. Whether you are building confidence or refining advanced skills, under the expert tuition of Elisabeth and John, you will leave a better, more confident and more experienced player.

PERFORMING TOGETHER

Perform with Confidence

Daily informal concerts create a relaxed, supportive atmosphere in which confidence grows naturally. By the end of the week you’ll be ready to perform together in the beautiful church of Saint-Eutrope—a celebration of everything you’ve achieved, shared with friends, partners and the local community.

EXPERIENCING TOGETHER

Live the French Dream

Share gourmet lunches, local wines, beautiful villages and life French-style. Music may bring us together, but it’s the friendships, conversations and shared experiences that people remember long after the final note has been played.

Before You Arrive

A warm welcome

Before you travel to France, we’ll meet online and get to know each other. I’ll understand your musical background, what you’d like to achieve and any concerns you may have, so you can start your French flute experience with confidence.

And if you’re not an experienced traveller, don’t worry. John and I are here to help personally with airport and station transfers, advice, and any practical concerns you might have.
